Grilled Celtuce

:: Ingredients ::

1 Celtuce per person

Olive Oil

Salt

Pepper

:: Directions ::

​

- Peel celtuce lengthwise until translucent green in color (the outer white skin can be quite bitter)

​

- Slice lengthwise into approximately 1/4 inch slices

- Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs

​

- Place on preheated grill and cook until tender, approximately 5 minutes each side (we like ours to still have a crunch!)

Don't hesitate to improvise and use ingredients you have on hand!
Celtuce has an amazingly unique flavor that is a must to try.
It is tasty grilled by itself or with other veggies. Also a great addition stir fry (think water chestnuts).
