Veggie Bean Burgers
:: Ingredients ::
1 can Black Beans
1/3 c Panko Breadcrumbs
1 Egg
1 Medium Beet, grated
1/2 Medium Kohlrabi, grated
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Cumin
1/2 tsp Coriander
Dash of black pepper
:: Directions ::
- Open can of black beans, rinse, and mash in a large bowl
- Mix in egg, breadcrumbs, grated veggies of choice, and spices
- Heat oil in skillet on medium-high heat (we use approximately 1/8 inch of oil and prefer a cast iron pan)
- While skillet is warming, form patties by hand
- Fry patties until browned on both sides, approximately 3-5 minutes per side
- Serve over a bed of salad greens or on a bun!

Don't hesitate to improvise and use ingredients you have on hand!
We have used beets (our favorite), carrots, kohlrabi, radishes, and more! All together or on their own!
For a kick, try adding some red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
Makes approximately 4 burgers.
